I have been selected to present my research at the NASW National Conference: Beyond the Breaking Point: Connection Through Purpose and Power. I will share findings from my recently published study in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence examining how work in the domestic and sexual violence fields can shape providers’ romantic and sexual lives—an often overlooked aspect of vicarious trauma. Participants will reflect on these impacts and explore individual- and organizational-level strategies to reduce them.
