My practice is firmly rooted in the core values of the social work profession: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. These values guide my work with clients and my continued dedication to learning to ensure I am providing quality care.
My commitment to continual learning drives me to enhance my ability to serve those I have the honor to work with. I've studied extensively in the realm of sexuality, completing the University of Michigan's Sexual Health Certificate program in Sex Therapy and Sexual Health Education. Subsequently, I've earned certification as a Sex Therapist through the American Academy of Sexuality Counselors, Educators, and Therapists. Additionally, I've received training in methodologies such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
You are the expert on your history, family and experience. I can offer you my experience and training as a clinician to explore the challenges you face. Together we will identify the strengths you already have, the internal and external factors that are negatively impacting you, and develop strategies for you to succeed moving forward.
